2.1 Git Basics - Getting a Git Repository If you can read only one chapter to get going with Git, this is it. This chapter covers every basic command you need to do the vast majority of the things you’ll eventually spend your time doing with Git. Show uncommitted, untracked and unpushed changes in multiple Git repositories. Scan for.git dirs up to DEPTH directories deep. The default is 2. If DEPTH is 0, the scan is infinitely deep. Mgitstatus shows: Uncommitted changes if there are unstaged or uncommitted changes on the checked out branch. If we do an ls now, you’ll see your files from the old project A in remoteA. If you didn’t you’re not on the right branch, or you messed up. Also, if you ran git branch -all you’ll get a master branch, clean branch, projectA branch and all remote branches showing up. Looks good, go back to the master branch.
